01How it works
Four simple steps

Four steps.
No paperwork ambush.

No commission portal. No tracking dashboard you have to log into. You introduce someone — I do the rest, and pay you when they pay me. Built for trades, agencies, accountants, anyone who talks to small business owners.

01

Introduce

WhatsApp, email, in person — doesn’t matter. CC me in or send them my link. Just make sure I know who referred them before our first call.

02

I quote & close

I run discovery, scope, send a proposal. Once signed, you get a copy so you know exactly what was agreed.

03

I build & ship

Project runs through my normal process. Updates at milestones — only if you want them.

04

You get paid

Project complete and client’s final invoice cleared into my account → I pay you 10% of the project cost via BACS within 7 days. Breakdown emailed across.

02Build packages
What I charge · what you earn

Four packages.
Real prices. Real commission.

Four base packages with starting prices. Real scope (and any extras) is locked in by signed quote after my discovery call — this gets you in the right ballpark so you know what to tell people.

Luke’s work is second to non. He is very professional and his communication is great. He talked me through the full process and being honest and realistic... that’s very rare these days. Would highly recommend

I am totally pc illiterate and Luke has been a godsend for me. I love my new website, something I could never dreamed about doing, nothing was to much bother to him. I can’t recommend him highly enough

Build it.
See what you earn.

Pick a tier. Tick extras. Watch your cut update live. The real quote is locked in after my discovery call.

All numbers here are estimates. Every project also carries additional build fees on top — starting at £20 and scaling with features (hosting setup, SSL, plugin / third-party licences, payment gateway, integrations). These are itemised on the signed quote, not in this calculator.

Good news for partners: your 10% commission is calculated on the final invoice total — fees included. So your real cut is usually a touch higher than what’s shown here.

    05Partnership terms
    Agreement v1.0 · plain English

    The whole deal,
    in plain English.

Everything in the one-page agreement you’ll sign. Plain English, no hidden clauses. If anything’s unclear, message me.

    1. § 01

10% flat commission on the build invoice

You earn 10% of the total invoice value of any web build that closes from your referral — package price plus every add-on, module or extra page. No tiers to climb, no thresholds to hit, no caps.

    2. § 02

One-off fee per build — not recurring

Commission is a one-time payment on a per-build basis. There are no monthly fees, no annual top-ups, no ongoing residuals. Every referral pays out once when the build is delivered and that build’s commission relationship is complete. Anything beyond this needs to be agreed in writing in advance and signed by both parties.

    3. § 03

Paid when the project is done AND I’ve received final payment

Commission is released only when both conditions are met: (a) the build is complete and signed off by the client, and (b) the client’s final invoice has cleared into my account. BACS transfer within 7 days of those two events, with a one-line breakdown emailed across.

    4. § 04

      First-touch attribution, indefinite

Your referral is attributed to you from the moment I have written confirmation of the intro (email, WhatsApp, CC’d intro). If the client goes quiet for six months and comes back, the referral is still yours. If a different partner later introduces the same lead, the original intro wins.

    5. § 05

      What’s not commissionable

Ongoing care plans, hosting fees, monthly maintenance retainers, hourly support, training sessions and consultancy days are not commissionable. You earn on the build itself — not on what happens after. If the same client returns later for a separate new build, that’s a fresh 10% to you.

    6. § 06

      Cancellations & paused projects

If a project is cancelled before the final invoice is paid, no commission is due. If a project is paused, your attribution stays in place indefinitely — when work resumes and the final invoice clears, you still get paid in full.

    7. § 07

      Tax is your responsibility

Commission is paid gross of any tax owed. You are responsible for declaring and paying any tax on commission income. I’ll issue a year-end statement with totals to make your accountant’s job easier. If you’re VAT-registered, invoice me and I’ll pay VAT on top of the commission.

    8. § 08

      No exclusivity, either way

You can refer to other developers. I can take clients from any source. The partnership is non-exclusive on both sides. Either party can end the arrangement with 7 days’ written notice — any referrals already in the pipeline still pay out under the original agreement.

    9. § 09

One-page agreement required before any referral

Before any referral is logged or paid out, both parties sign a one-page partnership agreement covering these terms. No signed agreement = no commission. The document is short, plain English and only needs signing once — not per referral.

    10. § 10

Changes to these terms only apply to future referrals

Any change to commission rate, payment timing or what counts as commissionable applies only to future referrals after the change has been communicated to you in writing. Referrals already in the pipeline are honoured under the original agreement they were logged under.

    06Common questions
    Before you refer

    Common questions.

If anything below isn’t clear, message me and I’ll rewrite it.

No. Open to anyone — existing clients, ex-clients, friends, accountants, suppliers, complementary trades. The only thing I ask is that you’ve seen my work and would happily put your name to the intro.
Yes — every project includes additional build fees on top of the package price, starting at £20 and scaling with features. These cover hosting setup, SSL, plugin / third-party licences (e.g. booking widget, payment gateway, IDX feed), domain admin, and any specific integrations needed. They’re itemised on the signed quote so the client sees exactly what they’re paying for. Your 10% commission applies to the final invoice total — fees included. So your actual cut is usually a touch higher than the calculator estimate.
No cap. Refer one client a year or twenty — same 10% on every build that closes. Bigger builds = bigger commission. Premium with WooCommerce = £900+ to you, in one go.
Your referral is attributed to you indefinitely. If they come back six months later and we close it, you still get paid. First-touch attribution — once it’s logged it’s yours.
Every referral comes through the form on this page and lands in my JotForm dashboard with a timestamp — that’s the official record. I’ll send you a status update by message at each milestone (quote signed, project complete, commission paid). If you want a shared WhatsApp or Slack channel for ongoing updates, I’ll set one up.
Not from your end — if you start cutting prices for them, that’s your money. From my side, my pricing is fixed and transparent so I can pay you in full. If a client needs a payment plan, I can sort that without affecting your commission.
Yes. Commission paid is gross of any tax you owe. I’ll send a statement at year end with the totals to make your accountant’s job easier. If you’re VAT-registered, just send an invoice.
Yes — a one-page partnership agreement covering the terms on this page. We both sign it once and that’s the relationship sorted. No annual renewals, no exclusivity, no rolling auto-anything.
A note from me · not a sales pitch

If you’ve read this far you’re already thinking about who you’d send my way. One good intro is enough.

I’d rather pay 10% on real work than spend the same on adverts no one reads. Reply here, or CC me into your next chat with a business owner who needs a website.
